Being an android she is highly curious, but very wry and blunt. Sometimes this gear patterned pony does not understand certain jokes or puns and might actually take things literally. Mary does not know how to laugh, but dreams of learning the ability to feel humor and other happy emotions. The gear fantasy hopes to one day find someone who can make her a program that will allow her to feel emotions. Will this girlie ever learn what true love is?Or will Mary forever be emotionless and robotic? Perhaps the hope itself is a sign that someday she will be able to feel like a real pony. background ;; The story of the gear fantasy's origin begins a long time ago with a little boy that had a big dream. He wanted to become the world's greatest inventor and create an animal that was android. The boy knew the task would be difficult and that he would run into many hazards and rough spots along the way of creating such an impressive feat. The boy had also been a lover of horses. He loved their magnificent gaints and powerful limbs. The boy had decided to make a horse android. One that was fully function and capable of doing anything and everything a normal horse could and more. The story of Mary's origins is also the story of a boy's love for an animal that showed him the true meaning of resilience. Edison was sitting in the barn tinkering with his many gadgets and goozmos. Laid out in front of him was a blue print for his android pony. He would craft the base based off of titanium alloys and light weight steals. Edison could make the joints from gears and sockets. All he needed now was time to build his pony. He had everything lined up and prepared to be put together, but he knew if he didn't get to school soon he would never have time to finish her. Eddi looked sorrowfully at his blue prints and sighed. Surely, he would have time to finish her when he got home? The boy shook his head and decided that now was the time to finish putting his invention together. He would become the greatest inventor in all the land! So, he began to piece his masterpiece little by little. Eventually he had the frame finished and began placing the parts for her organs and running a few tests to make sure that everything indeed function like that of a normal horse. Lastly, he began to work on her positonic brain. The brain for his pony will have many chips and circuits. Edison would have to write programs and programs for those programs to ensure that this mare was programmed properly and would have no problems. The young boy worked well into the night just to finish the mare. Once she was done he tried to turn her on. The android didn't move nor did she make a noise. The entire contraption stood still. Edison hung his head and shrugged his shoulders. Perhaps he could try again another day. When he finally came into the house he heard shouts about how he was a disgrace. He not only skipped school, but wasted his time on a dumb invention that didn't even work. The boy, in such pain and shock, ran back to the barn, grabbed his saddle, and tacked up the first horse he could find. Little to Edison's knowledge, he had taked up the mare he had put together. Edison rode his android mare for miles away from home while crying. After the two had stopped by a creak Edison realized he had taken his mare and not an actual horse. The mare lifted her head as if she could hear his thoughts and pushed her head against Edison's chest. Now, the boy was barely eleven years old and was frightened. He hugged his android mare close and sobbed into her fur for a good moment or two before laying down and falling asleep. The mare snorted and curled up around him. She had been programmed to be protective of him and the gear fantasy was not going to allow anything hurt her creator. Edison woke up to the mare moving to stand up. Her dark brown coat seemed to shine from the lights that filtered through the limbs of the trees. Her green eyes were bright and full of life. The boy wondered if there had been a delay when he turned her on and decided to take her home to run a diagnostics on her. Edison smiled as his mare, appropriately named Mary, flirted with him like a love-sick yearling. He had invented an android and she worked perfectly. Edison was the world's greatest inventor, but he was also an even better horse owner. The boy, now a man, learned his lesson from this experience to never quit and to continually try his hardest to achieve his goals and never believe what others think of him. To this day that man is resilient and continues to marvel the world with his ingenious inventions. relations... sire ;; Foundation dam ;; Foundation mate ;; Not Looking unless infertile for stories... offspring ;;
